Protesters pro European Union continues to throw stones and Molotov cocktails in the police cordons. Police respond with tear gas grenades and rubber bullets.
Batkivshchina party leader, Arseny Yatsenyuk, demands end of violence by the police, and the cancellation of the law that will come into force on Wednesday, limiting mass demonstrations and tightening sanctions against protesters.
There are over a hundred wounded on both sides, many with serious injuries, including one dead. The protests spread in western Ukraine. In Lviv and Ivano- Frankivsk the protesters are blocking intervention units wit cars.
Representatives of Presidency blame officials of foreign countries for increased violence in Ukraine. Failed curdling dialogue with the protesters and opposition leaders. The government plans to impose a state of emergency.
EU representatives will arrive in Kiev on Friday to discuss with the Ukrainian government and opposition about the current crisis.
