The first photo festival in Bucharest will run from 5 to 14 September between Union Avenue and Șoseaua Kiseleff, downtown Bucharest becoming a corridor of photography in which to enjoy the photography workshops, exhibitions, screenings and meetings, music and passion for beauty.
Bastille Library hosts Tuesday, September 2, 2014, starting at 12:00, the official launch of the first international photography festival in Bucharest: Bucharest Photo Week. The event is organized by Filos Groupin association with Exposure Association and Rost Association. Lead partner: F64.ro.
Part of Bucharest Photo Festival Week activities are part of Bucharest 555 and also the events of the last days of the festival days are included in the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
For a week, Bucharest Photo Week will offer exhibitions, screenings, workshops, discussions, etc., in order to provide local and international artists, to bring together different schools and area entities and involve the public in exploring contemporary photography giving them free access to these activities for the photo.
The first edition of the festival will bring in the middle of Bucharest public special guests from USA, France, Poland and Moldova and will feature 16 exhibits, 10 workshops, 10 screenings of photography and film, and a series of contests.
