The project “One Hour for Democracy” aims to create opportunities by using Swiss expertise, for young people in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, in order to understand participatory democracy and to engage the community to which they belong.
“An hour for democracy” will directly involve 210 high school students and several local institutions in Drobeta-Turnu Severin, during the 18 months. The project involves the development and implementation of a pilot program of democratic education, which will combine methods of formal education with non-formal training techniques.
The project is co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union and it is implemented by the Asociaţia Mişcarea pentru Acţiune şi Iniţiativă Europeană.
