The World Series of Poker, commonly abbreviated as the acronym WSOP, are the world championships of poker. They are held every year since 1970 in Las Vegas.
During the WSOP, several tournaments are played (68 in 2015). The entry price of a tournament is $ 565 to $ 1 million. The winner of each tournament wins money and a bracelet.
The main tournament is the Main Event, a No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament whose entry price is $ 10,000.

Broadcast
In the US, ESPN has exclusive rights on the production and dissemination of pictures of the WSOP. They are commented by Lon McEachern and Norman Chad. On the Internet, the official chip counts and live coverage of the tournament since 2007 is provided by the Bluff magazine and the website Pokernews.com.
