According to a report from The Times and several US newspapers, National Security Agency implanted specific software in about 100,000 computers outside the U.S., monitoring and access them by radio waves using secret technology, including computers not connected to the Internet. The software implemented in these computers can create an independent network to launch cyber attacks.
The technology that is used by NSA for many years, and it uses electromagnetic radiation emitted by electronic circuits, and USB cards. National Security Agency calls this strategy an “active defense”, using it for monitoring the main sources of risks, governmental and informal organizations worldwide.
One of the main target, in cooperation with the U.S. Cyber Command, is Chinese Army, accused by U.S. that regularly launched cyber attacks.
From the NSA statements result that the targets are exclusively foreign organizations.
