Atracţia interpersonală este atracţia dintre oameni care duce la prietenie şi relaţii romantice.
Studiul atracţiei interpersonale este un domeniu major de cercetare în psihologia socială.
Atracţia interpersonală este legată de cât de mult îţi place, iubeşti, antipatizezi sau urăşti pe cineva. Ea poate fi văzută ca o forţă care acţionează între doi oameni care tind să se unească şi să reziste la separarea lor.
Când măsurăm atracţia interpersonală, trebuie să facem referire la calităţile celui atras ca şi ale celui care atrage pentru a face o predicţie cât mai exactă.
Se sugerează că pentru a determina atracţia, trebuie să se ia în considerare personalitatea fiecăruia şi situaţia de moment.
Repulsia este de asemenea un factor în procesul atracţiei interpersonale, concepţia de atracţie a unei persoane faţă de alta putând varia între atracţie extremă şi repulsie extremă.
