On July 9, in Iaşi, a loud noise was heard as to be caused by the fall of a body from the sky. Silviu Gurlui, a professor at the Physics Faculty of Iasi, says that the shock was caused by the fall of a meteorite.
He recorded this disturbance with an equipment he had installed in the Clock Tower of the Palace of Culture. This shock wave was followed by a wave of vibrations felt in buildings.
The wave took about 5 seconds, and the sound felt for 2 seconds, with an extremely low frequency, between 20 and 100 hertz.According to Mediafax, a similar event took place three years ago, on June 1, 2016.
