The former secretary of the National Liberal Party leader Eduard Hellvig, Ioana Maria Ardelean, reached, in only one year after the entry into Government, based on her political relations, head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration . Minister Liviu Dragnea promoted her as service coordinator at the ministry, to oversee public procurement and spending of European funds, even if she has no experience.
Furthermore, currently Ioana Maria Ardelean is state representative in the Board of Directors of National Investment Company and the National Institute for Research and Development in Constructions, Urban Planning and Sustainable Territorial Development.
Ioana Maria Ardelean comes from Bistrita, is 29 years old, graduated Communication and Public Relations at National School of Political Science and Public Administration, and post-graduated courses at the University of Bucharest, UNESCO Chair . After graduation, she was hired by National Liberal Party, the Office of the General Secretary, Eduard Hellvig.
When Social Liberal Union (including National Liberal Party) won the elections and started to govern, Maria Ioana Ardelean was co-opted as councilor at the Ministry of Development and Tourism, the Office of Edward Hellvig, later becoming its chief of staff. When Hellvig left the Government in December, the counselor remained, changing the position reached by one political appointment of civil servants, despite the lack of experience.
